PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Project management is a broad field that involves supervising all parts of a project, from the initial design to the final product. In construction, project managers oversee the entire process of new building projects. This includes meeting with the client to discuss the initial plans, hiring a team of consultants, and managing building documents. Project managers often create and implement the project budget, collaborate with the client or project owner, and oversee the construction team, including the construction manager and site superintendents.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Construction management is the process of overseeing a building project. Construction managers are professionals who supervise the construction stage of any project. Their duties can include but are not limited to ordering construction materials, delegating tasks to a construction team, and collaborating with subcontractors. They often work at a construction site, where they carefully manage a team and continuously check for both quality and safety during the entire building process. They often collaborate with the project manager.
